These terms set out the rules for using MCServer-List.com ("the site", "we"). By using the site you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the site. The site is not affiliated with Minecraft, Mojang or Microsoft.
Changes
We may amend these terms and change or withdraw any part of the site at any time. The site is provided free of charge and we do not guarantee that it will always be available or uninterrupted.
Accounts
An account is only required to list a server. You must keep your password confidential and you are responsible for everything done through your account. We may disable any account at any time if we believe these terms have been broken.
Voting
You may only vote for a particular server once per day and for at most three different servers per day. Voting must be carried out in person on the site by entering your username and completing the captcha. Voting through automated scripts, bots or programs is strictly prohibited. Trading or selling votes between servers is forbidden. We reserve the right to remove or reset votes if we suspect fraudulent voting.
Server content
You may only add a server if you own it or have the owner's permission, and you may only create one listing per server. Once a server is added you agree that the site may regularly contact it to gather status data (players online, version, MOTD, icon) and display that data. You must not upload pornographic, illegal, racist or hateful content anywhere in your listing (banner, name, description etc.). Cracked (offline-mode) servers are forbidden.
Banners and tags
Rapidly flashing banners are forbidden. Banners must not imitate the site's own interface. Tags must accurately reflect the gamemodes your server offers; inaccurate tags may be removed.
Removal of servers
We may remove any server at any time with or without notice, including for inappropriate details, abuse of the voting system, or low uptime (servers older than 10 days are automatically removed if uptime falls below 25%). We may also edit individual listing details when they are inappropriate.
Sponsored servers
Sponsored slots are provided as-is with no guarantee of traffic and are non-refundable once the sponsored period has begun.
Content you upload
You retain ownership of content you upload but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, adapt and distribute it as part of operating and promoting the site, including in dynamic banners and search results. You warrant that you have the right to grant this licence.
Acceptable use
You must not use the site in any way that breaks the law, attempts to gain unauthorised access to the site or its servers, introduces malicious code, sends spam, or disrupts the service (including denial-of-service attacks). Content you contribute must not be defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, deceptive, threatening or infringing on anyone else's rights.
Liability
The site and its content are provided for general information only. We are not responsible for the servers listed, for the websites we link to, or for user-generated content, none of which is verified or approved by us. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the site.
Privacy
We only use your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
