This policy explains what MCServer-List.com collects and why. We collect as little as we can.

What we collect

• Accounts: if you register to list a server we store your username, email address and a hashed password. We never store the password itself.
• Votes: when you vote we store the Minecraft username you enter, your IP address and the time. This is used only to enforce the voting limits and detect vote fraud. If the server has Votifier enabled, the username and IP are forwarded to that server so it can reward you in-game.
• Server listings: everything you enter about a server is public by design, together with data gathered from the server's status ping.
• Logs: our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, browser) for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

Cookies

We set one cookie, sid, only when you log in. It keeps you logged in for up to 30 days and contains no personal data. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.

Third parties

Server trailers are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) domain; YouTube's own policy applies when you play a video. Links to server websites and Discord invites lead to sites we do not control.

Your rights

You can change your username, email and password, or delete your account and all of your listings, from the account settings page at any time. Vote records are kept for the current and previous month and then removed. For anything else, contact us.
