What is MCServer-List.com?

MCServer-List.com is a multiplayer server list for Minecraft. Find new servers to join, vote for your favourites, or add your own server to the list.

How are servers ranked?

The rank of a server is determined entirely by the number of votes it has. Votes are reset for all servers on the 1st of each month.

How do I vote for a server?

Go to the server's page and click the vote button. You'll then be asked to enter your Minecraft username and complete a captcha. No account is needed to vote.

How often can I vote?

You can vote for the same server once per day, and for a maximum of three different servers each day. A new day on MCServer-List.com begins at midnight UTC.

How do I add my server to the list?

First, create an account. Then log in, click 'Add server' on the dashboard page, and enter the server details. If your server is offline, you won't be able to add it to the site until it comes back online. Accounts are only needed for listing a server.

What is Votifier?

Votifier is a plugin that notifies your server whenever someone votes, so you can automatically reward players for voting. You can enable Votifier when adding or editing your server. MCServer-List.com supports both the original Votifier protocol (v1, public key) as well as the more modern v2 protocol implemented in NuVotifier (token).

Why has my server been deleted?

Servers may be removed for a number of reasons including:

• Suspicious voting activity: vote botting is against our terms of service and can result in your server being permanently banned.
• Inappropriate server details: a server may be deleted if it contains content that violates our content standards (for example as part of the name, description or banner).
• Low uptime: servers which have been listed for more than 10 days are automatically removed if the uptime falls below 25%.

Why has my banner been removed?

Banners may be removed if they violate the content standards set out in our terms. For example, banners cannot be rapidly flashing or contain inappropriate material.

Why have votes for my server disappeared?

Votes are reset for all servers on the 1st of each month to provide fair competition for new servers. If votes are removed from your server at any other time, it's because they've been detected as fake or automated.

How is the server version determined?

The version is detected automatically from the version string in your server's status ping. If that string contains a range, for example 1.7.2-26.2, the site displays the highest version - in this case 26.2.

How do I automatically fill the Minecraft username field on vote pages?

To autofill a username when linking to the vote page for your server, add the ?username=yyyyy parameter, for example https://mcserver-list.com/vote/xxxxx?username=yyyyy where xxxxx is your server ID and yyyyy is the Minecraft username.

What are sponsored servers?

Sponsored servers are servers that have purchased premium placement on MCServer-List.com. These servers show at the top on the homepage, tag and version pages, and also at the top of relevant search results. Sponsored servers can be identified by the star icon next to their name.
